Stuntman Hollywood hands-on impressions

Stuntman Hollywood hands-on impressions

Getting behind the wheel in Stuntman Hollywood feels like stepping into a forgotten era of arcade racing, and that is a very good thing. The core driving mechanics are surprisingly precise, demanding real timing and nerve rather than just mashing the gas. You have to nail the perfect drift through a narrow alley or hit a ramp at exactly the right speed to land a jump cleanly. When it works, it feels incredible.

The real star, though, is the set design. Each level throws you into a different movie scene, from a high-speed chase through a neon-lit city to a dusty desert shootout. The environments are packed with explosive props, collapsing buildings, and cars flying in from every direction. It is chaotic, but in a way that feels intentional. You are not just driving; you are performing a stunt for an invisible camera crew. The game does a great job of making you feel like the star of a ridiculous action blockbuster.

There are some rough edges. The loading times between takes can be a bit long, and the difficulty spikes hard on some of the later sets. But the core loop of crashing, retrying, and finally nailing a perfect run is addictive. If you miss the days of pure, skill-based stunt games without all the modern fluff, Stuntman Hollywood is shaping up to be a wild ride worth taking.
