5 Forgotten Computer Games Every Millennial Played

If you ever spent hours clicking through the eerie island of Myst or arguing over who got to be Pablo Sanchez in Backyard Baseball, you already know the pull of these old titles. But some games from that era have faded so far from memory that even the most nostalgic millennial might struggle to name them. Here are five forgotten computer games that once ruled our screens.

First up is "The Incredible Machine," a physics puzzle game where you built elaborate contraptions using ropes, pulleys, and mice on treadmills. It taught problem-solving without ever feeling like homework. Then there's "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" which turned geography into a detective chase. You learned capital cities just to catch a cartoon thief in a red coat.

"RollerCoaster Tycoon" also deserves a mention, though it's less obscure. What many forget is the original isometric view and the sheer joy of watching a coaster crash. "Zoombinis" was another gem, a logic game where you guided blue creatures through puzzles that felt like math class but were actually fun. Finally, "Oregon Trail" is the granddaddy of them all, but the 1990s version with its pixelated dysentery and fording rivers remains a core memory for anyone who sat in a school computer lab.

These games didn't need high-end graphics or online multiplayer. They just needed a mouse, a keyboard, and a kid willing to get lost for hours.
